Mojo-Less Mondays

Hi, everyone.

By now you've probably heard the news. Mojo Monday #500 is the last Mojo Monday. I have to say that I'm thrilled for Julee. While Mondays won't be the same for us Mojo fans, Julee's not going to regret her decision for a single second.

So, with sincerest thanks to Julee for tons of sketch inspiration, here's my Mojo 500 card.

Distress Ink various core papers; Recollections silver glitter paper
computer-generated original sentiment panel
SU/Sizzix embossing folder; SU owl builder punch (for tiny circles)
Scotch ATG; foam backing; Zig 2-way glue pen

Since this is a birthday card for a nephew, I kept the palette simple -- two blues (one for the background, one for the stripes), two reds ( one for the top half, one for the bottom), and two yellows (one for the short strip, one for the long).

I made a license-plate-themed card for Nephew #1's 16th birthday. It seemed only fair to make a similarly themed card for #2's 16th birthday this coming August. But, something tells me it's the $$$ inside that will be the main focus of his attention.  :)

Thanks again to Julee for all the inspiration through the years. And, thanks to all of you for stopping by. Until next time, happy scrappin'!

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
